Our COCO

I and my awesome pack especially COCO would like to sincerely and from the bottom of our hearts, THANK BIOTRONIK, the company and their incredible staff, BRYANSTON VET HOSPITAL, Dr Lobetti, Dr Colley and all the VETS, The nurses and Staff, Dr Anthony Becker (No.1 Cardiologist), Dr Kenneth Joubert (Specialist VET Anaesthetist) and my special lightworkers, for making this miracle possible.

A few weeks ago, I noticed a sudden deterioration in endurance and enthusiasm with COCO. This was extremely unusual. (As anyone blessed by a Choc Labbie can attest too). After thorough investigations, it was discovered that COCO’s pacemaker of her heart, (SA Node to AV Node was blocked, i.e. complete heart block. Having such a low rate caused no energy, and she could barely stand. She would fall over trying to stand up as insuff blood and oxygen were reaching her brain. She had no quality at all.

Suddenly she deteriorated and became unresponsive with a pulse of only 28 beats per minute, I was devastated. To think I would have to part with her (Physically) as she was my joy, the alpha of my pack, leader and the sun, moon and stars.

Within an hour of this happening, Dr Becker and the BIOTRONIKS Technicians, had the latest pacemaker at the hospital and with the assistance of Dr Lobetti and Dr Joubert, the pacemaker was successfully implanted.

That night I stayed with her and prayed. Would she be normal I asked myself, possible hypoxia during this episode, worried me? Will my COCO be ok?

The following day COCO surprised us all, she was up and walking around. The BIOTRONIK staff were there every day to check on the pacemaker to ensure it was ticking correctly.

My COCO was discharged the next day, her usual self, hyperactive, noisy and her beautiful boisterous self. We have COCO back and that is truly miraculous. With prayer and the quick action, compassion and the pure genius of such good souls in this world.
